The Vest is amazing except the copper cord that is covered by fabric that plugs into the battery pack has started to come through the fabric after less than 1 season. Also I wish the battery pack lasted a little longerIt's something I can wear at workEDIT: I’ve called the company and they sent me a new battery and it works like a charm. This is the best vest!!I did a lot of research before buying this. It fits great. I ordered my regular size. Battery pack doesn’t bother me at all and isn’t in the way. Charges quick. Love the pockets on each side and the heating locations. I used it for the first time today for a softball game. Started out great. Worked really well. Battery died in under 2 hours. I started out with medium setting then bumped it to high due to the cold and winds. I won’t go through the hassle of sending it back. I really wanted to love this and still do but just wish the battery lasted longer.I have now purchased four (4) of these heated Venustas vests, two of the Blue vests for women and two of the Black vests for men. These vests are simply great! We all love them and they have been working flawlessly since arrival. They have four (4) heated areas, one more area than the other vests by other brands ... back, front two sides and the neck. The vests heat up very quickly and switch to the Medium heat after the short pre-heat period and then we normally turn them down to the Low setting. The vests have three heat levels, High, Medium and Low. It is very cold here in upstate NY and believe me, they are wonderful for our cold weather here. We all just love them. The vests come with a digital readout battery (and charger and charging cable) and depending on the heat setting can last up to 8 hours. I usually charge my battery at night and during intermittent use during the next day the battery has been holding pretty darn good. I wish I had purchased these vests before the cold had set in. The vests are also made very well and look good. I must also say that the vendor, Aidewen Direct, has been extremely good to work with. One of the vests came with an older out dated battery and when I notified them of that they immediately sent out a new up dated battery to me within just a couple of days. Over all, these are great heated vests and I could not be happier with my purchases!I bought this vest as a gift for someone and she loves it. It's very lightweight and functions as a good vest just on its own, but the heating element really turns it into an item of luxury. It heats up quickly and really makes a big difference, especially when worn under a coat.After a year of use, the connection between the plug and the battery had come so loose, the plug would come out just with the normal movement of walking. As a result, the heating element would turn off after only a couple of minutes. I contacted the company and asked what to do – they immediately sent a new battery whose connection is strong and secure. Very impressed with the customer service, especially so long after purchase. It's now working again like new.The vest kept me warm on a cold winter night at Hershey Park. I had the vest over a long sleeved shirt followed by my coat. I was not cold. The vest is not bulky. I was comfortable with the layers. The neck heating element is the best part of this vest. The only issue I have is after initially plugging in the battery, the unit doesn’t turn on right away. I have to wait a few minutes, then press the button again for it to turn on. But once it’s on, it’s amazing.This vest is my new best friend. I suffer from Raynaud's Syndrome and getting chilled causes fingers & legs to turn blue. If my upper chest or back of neck get cold, I develop wheezing and congestion. The breeze of an air conditioner in summer can set it off as well as the winter cold. I can put on this vest, and it quickly alleviates the symptoms. It fits under my jackets so I can stay warm walking the dog.I did have initial battery problems where the battery kept cutting off. Had to put in my cell phone charger to use the vest until a permanent solution was found. Cindy, the customer service rep with Aidewen Direct immediately sent out a new battery which works like a champ. Also, some folks noted in their reviews that the neck got way too hot. It doesn't feel that way on low and medium heat but look out if you have it on high heat for any length of time. Unzipping the neck a let to let in cooler air helps but be sure to have some material between your skin and the vest. Also, re: sizing. The vest will work best if it is snug to your body so the heat panels can do their thing. If you think you will wear a hoodie underneath it or a bulky sweater, it is best to size up. Battery info not clear. Does not come with instructions. Nice quality vest just not good info.Jacket was great until the battery overheated. Wore it fine about a dozen times until last night when I took off the jacket and when I pulled out the cord from the battery it was melting. A glob of black plastic stuck to my finger. I will be returning it unfortunately.The vest is great, kept me warm during an event where I had to work outside. The only downfall is the battery. It doesn’t last as long as it says it does so if you’re getting this vest I recommend getting a bigger battery for it. I will go through a big one and the small one in a 16 hour day.Product fit perfectly. Fabric was soft (not plastic) and looked really nice. My problem as the battery and/or the connection was not good. When it was working it was nice and warm a s I especially liked the neck warmer however power was intermittent and I had to play with the connection to get it to stay on.I cannot say much as I opened it tried it on and packed it back. The sizes are not what you would expect. Follow the measurements that are the size of the jacket not you. So add some space so you can actually close it and be comfortable.Bought this vest so I will be able to wear under Winter Jackets for added warmth. I live in Canada and we get -40 for two-three week stretches. The extra warmth will be nice when outside walking. Vest is perfect for now over a fall jacket, hoodie or sweater. Comfortable material and should fit nicely under winter coats.
